Justice Has Never Felt So Far

Men in blue uniforms are marching down the streets

No one is exempt from going under the gun

If you would only learn to bow in conformity

Turn a blind eye to society

Maybe you’ll have a chance to graduate

In the illusion that you’re free

Perhaps you’re thinking

Why would a dictator fear a scholar?

Or a farmer for that matter?

And how could others be so blind to all the blood?

How could they see a golden age

In a time full of rage?

They know which buttons to press

They know if you digress

They’ll take on anyone

Who tries to stand against

Don’t make the same mistake

They know just who you are

This is just what happens when you put the bullies in charge

Justice has never felt so far

Corruption funded buildings

Served as a façade

Carry the cadaver of your countrymen

Your family

Power hungry, now we’re in debt

It didn’t have to be this way

Remember, oh Philippines

The time before the two longest decades of our history?

We had been well off before he even reigned

The infrastructure boasts of our culture, alright

So why not a monument of his bloody fight?

Maybe if we cover him with flowers

His hands won’t smell of blood
